Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for all weld overlay applications and flex into a mechanic situation to support rebuilds of coal pulverizer and coal plant fuel delivery equipment.
• Will provide product technical knowledge in drawing review to determine weld application material and tolerance adherence.
• Measures components for accurate entry into data sheets as applicable. Ability to use handheld measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, etc.
• Solves non-standard assembly and disassembly challenges by utilizing various best practice methods incorporating mechanical tools, thermal applications, and hydraulic equipment.
• Executes daily production tasks to plan scheduled as assigned by Shop Lead or Shift Lead.
• Ability to operate and maneuver lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and fork-lift experience necessary.
• Strong mechanical skills to execute coal pulverizer equipment rebuilds and possess welding and acetylene burning equipment proficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years’ experience with rebuilding products including mechanical assembly and disassembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience with weld overlay application using manipulator and rotating positioner is preferred.
• Knowledge of welding theory and experience with machine welding preferred
• Strong skill set and dexterity using various manual and pneumatic tools and/or tooling
• Light fabrication assembly experience is preferred.
• Ability to use CNC plasma operated equipment for fixed and manual operations preferred
