This role is located 100% on-site in sunny El Paso, Texas which offers 300 days of sunshine per year and gorgeous mountain landscapes. The Project Manager II is responsible for coordination and completion of the assigned project(s). and will manage level 2 to level 4 size projects. This position will have responsibilities for new process projects, where a Process Migration Methodology (PMM) will be utilized. In new process transitions this role will be the primary point of contact as well as overseeing all aspects of the project utilizing the established Project Management Office processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning the project(s) in order to accomplish its goals or produce the products required within constraints such as time, budget and scope
- Continuously monitors the progress in terms of the status of the plan and reports back to the organization via weekly or other progress reporting by organizing and managing status meetings
- In transition projects will oversee all transition related activities including monitoring of transition schedules, planning, and coordination of transition status meetings and preparation of transition reports
- Identifies logs, analyzes and manages potential and actual issues and risks; takes corrective action and reviews how issues and risks may impact scope, schedule, quality and cost
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team prior to communicating with client
- Effectively applies methodology and enforces project standard
- Articulates and negotiates consensus on a final vision of the product and/or the core project goals
- Capable of defining acceptance criteria or working with specialists to define acceptance criteria for project deliverables
- May manage and coordinate third party contractors
- Responsible for bringing the project to a close, which may include creating an end of project report or evaluation document, holding deployment meetings and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- PMP Certification is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management office (PMO) environment.
- 2+ years of experience in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry desired
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to interact directly with clients and manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel
