Bilingual Human Resources Generalist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by the HR Coordinator:

Keeps current with the charter schools Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual and pro-actively gives recommendations regarding their appropriate use to administration.
Maintains a strong and positive employee relations mentality that will provide support to all staff.
Assists with the maintenance of complete job description documentation.
Assists with the security and maintenance of personnel files.
Coordinates and conducts new employee orientations for substitute teachers as well as certain operational positions.
Assists in the out processing of employees upon separation from the company: reviews and processes separation forms.
Collaborates with Finance to ensure all employee data in Skyward matches with TRS.
Responds to queries pertaining to service credit reporting.
Reviews employment applications and all associated documents for completeness and accuracy.
Informs newly hired personnel of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other information.
Prepares and posts job openings internally and externally as appropriate.
Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports, ie. work authorization and teacher certification expirations
Performs reference and background checks on applicants and/or ensures such checks are done before hire.
Prepares employee agreement worksheets to ensure accuracy for approval.
Audits time sheets and ensures accurate reporting of absences for both staff and substitutes.
Assists in the maintenance of all electronic personnel files, ie. Laserfiche scanning and indexing.
