Job summary -
• Clean, mop, vacuum assigned areas. Pick up soiled linen and trash from room attendant. Move furniture, clean windows, mirrors, stock linen closets, assist room attendants
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
• Vacuum floors, offices, public areas as assigned.
• Take care of special requests for guest and deliver.
• Mop stairwells, landings, public areas.
• Take care of furniture in public areas and empty ashtrays periodically.
• Wipe walls, molding, clean windows, mirrors in all areas assigned.
• Clean guest room mirrors as scheduled.
• Flip mattresses as scheduled.
• Take dirty linen and trash from floors, public areas and offices.
• Clean elevator walls, tracks, doors and floors.
• Clean, maintain and store all equipment used.
• Keep linen storeroom neat and clean and properly stocked of all items needed on floors.

Other Standard Responsibilities -
Experience -
• At least one month previous housekeeping experience required
General Skills -
• Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills -
• Able to speak and understand some English.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time,
• Able to bend, squat and reach overhead
Education or Certification -
Language -
• Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements -
• Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, lift up to 60 pounds, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
