Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and implementation of electrical power systems for utility-grade, industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing electrical design packages for switchgear projects, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material (BOM).
- Review technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare and release BOMs for purchasing and fabrication.
- Incorporate new product designs and modifications into production engineering systems.
- Collaborate on product development activities, including modeling and design for manufacturing (DFM).
- Help maintain standard designs and configurations.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and assist with resolving product or project-related issues.
- Work closely with mechanical engineering, project management, and customers to ensure project success.
- Communicate project progress and potential challenges to supervisors.
- Contribute to improving engineering processes and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in electrical design (medium-voltage switchgear experience preferred).
- Familiarity with control circuits, transfer schemes, differential schemes, and PT/CPT load calculations.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and create complete documentation packages.
- Understanding of switchgear mechanical design and internal wiring.
- Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, and UL standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
