- 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m..
- Monday - Sunday
- Includes weekend and holiday shifts.
- Prepares or assist in preparation of complete meals - preparing and cooking soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, baked goods, etc.
- Complies with all special dietary needs or restrictions of residents ensuring everyone enjoys their meals. We provide clear instructions to help you meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Create gravies, sauces, and menu items from scratch, showcasing our culinary creativity.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are serve, elevating the dining experience.
- Monitor all food items for compliance with guidelines for temperature, taste and quality, tastes food to determine quality. Taste food to determine quality and adjust as necessary.
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment; ensuring all equipment is cleaned, working properly, and turned off before closing.
- Assist in properly utilizing inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Minimum 6 months experience as a prep cook (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to speak, read & write English.
- Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.
