Chief Accountant
Job Responsibilities: • Oversee daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping/data entry • Manage and communicate cash flow related issues which includes the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms and timely deposits of all funds • Investigate and analyze variances to budget or to prior year • Monitor the capital planning process by gathering support, monitoring the bid process, and ensuring proper payment of vendors • Ensure compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution and payment of all operational taxes • Assist with preparation of budgets; monitor operating budgets and capital budgets • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision. Working Conditions/Environment Work is typically performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs. The work environment characteristics described herein are representative of those an employee typically encounters while performing the essential functions of the position.
