Wildlife Exclusion Technician

: Wildlife Exclusion Specialists are responsible for sealing off entry points for animals to a home or business in a way that stops them from getting in. These include holes in floors, cracks around pipes, and anything else that could allow an animal to enter a home or business. Once the wildlife exclusion is complete, you may have to repair the damage that rodents, squirrels, bats, birds, mice, rats, or other pests may have caused. You must have the skills and experience required to repair any form of wildlife damage to include: damaged drywall, insulation, and wood.

- Instruction Adherence: Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Scope and Daily Duties:
- Carpentry Skills: Proficiency with standard hand tools and sealant gun.
- Building Material Handling: Measure, cut, and work with building materials.
- Attention to Detail: Essential for precision work.
- Learning & Initiative: Quick learner and self-starter.
- Additional Tasks: Checking and setting traps, performing home inspections.
- Structural Repairs: Fix damage caused by animals, and construct barriers and prevention measures.
- Crawl Space Maintenance: Clean and replace vapor barriers and insulation.
- Wildlife Management: Inspect homes, trap, and remove problem animals.
- Attic Restoration: Remove and replace damaged insulation, sanitize and deodorize affected areas, and ensure attics are properly sealed to prevent future infestations.
- Damage Repair: Repair siding and chimney damage, wood damage, and contaminated insulation resulting from animal activity.
Ideal Candidate:
- Physical Endurance: Comfortable lifting 75-100 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Fearlessness: Not afraid of heights, confined spaces, or dealing with wildlife.
- Skills: Competent in arithmetic, spelling, and writing.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Certification: Valid Driver's License required.
- Background Checks: Willingness to submit to drug and background checks.
