Job Overview
Net Power is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our demonstration facility. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the oversight of plant personnel, operations planning, maintenance execution, and strict adherence to safety and environmental standards, ensuring availability and performance of the plant to meet test objectives.
This position will be based at our office in La Porte, TX.
Key Responsibilities Included but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage all site operations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and readiness of the facility systems and equipment using CMMS tools.
- Troubleshoot operational, mechanical, and electrical issues; coordinating repair work with engineering and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed operational logs, maintenance records, and incident reports to support continuous improvement and test data analysis.
- Interface with Net Power engineering teams and technology partners to support development, testing, and system upgrades.
- Manage O&M staff, contractors, and third-party vendors, ensuring high performance and safety standards.
- Develop and manage the O&M budget, spare parts inventory, and procurement strategy.
- Prepare technical reports, incident investigations, and performance summaries for senior leadership.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Power Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in power plant or test facility operations and maintenance, with at least 2–3 years supporting new products or new technology introduction.
- Familiarity with compressors, turbines, high-pressure fluids, and combustion processes strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience in root cause analysis (RCA).
- Deep understanding of industrial safety practices, PSM (Process Safety Management), and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency with digital plant control systems, SCADA/DCS platforms, and CMMS tools.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with a continuous improvement mindset.

Candidates must be able to perform essential functions as outlined above, including but not limited to:
- Work effectively in an office or plant site environment.
- Operate at a computer and sit for long periods of time.
- Repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Position can be sedentary at times with occasional light lifting.
