CLE and bar dues Job Details Job Details: We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Partner for our Commercial Litigation department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to take their career to the next level within a dynamic and successful law firm. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of complex and challenging commercial litigation matters, providing strategic advice to our clients and representing them in high-stakes litigation. They will also play a key role in the growth and development of our Commercial Litigation department. Responsibilities: As a Partner in the Commercial Litigation department, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 1. Handling a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and intellectual property litigation.
2. Providing strategic advice to clients, helping them to understand the potential risks and rewards of litigation, and guiding them through the litigation process.
3. Representing clients in court, at arbitration hearings, and in mediation proceedings.
4. Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
5. Conducting thorough and effective legal research to support our clients' cases.
6. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing them with exceptional service and ensuring their needs are met.
7. Contributing to the growth and development of the Commercial Litigation department, including through business development activities and mentoring junior lawyers. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Partner, Commercial Litigation position will have the following qualifications: 1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the TX state bar.
3. A minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong track record of success in trial.
4. Excellent litigation skills, including experience in taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and conducting trials.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
7. A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
8. A desire to contribute to the growth and development of our Commercial Litigation department.
9. Experience in business development and a proven ability to generate new business for the firm.
