Field Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain PFT equipment, tubing rotators, and chokes in the field and shop.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services and complete service jobs independently as needed.
  • Deliver, collect, and transport equipment; load/unload and properly secure materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Operate forklifts and lifting devices safely.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including service tickets, bills of lading, expense reports, and inventory cycle counts.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal teams regarding job status and issues.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean and working order.
  • Follow all NOV Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications Summary

  • 2-3 years of field service or related industry experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Experience installing, inspecting, and maintaining oilfield or similar mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and safely transport materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Working knowledge of preventative maintenance, inventory control, and service documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
