Aluminum extrusion press operator

Job Description
• Operate the aluminum extrusion press safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
• Set up and operate the press according to production schedules and work orders.
• Monitor product quality throughout production and make process adjustments to minimize scrap and maximize throughput.
• Coordinate daily production with the stretcher, saw, profile stacker, and oven operators to keep the line running efficiently.
• Support die changes and die oven loading and unloading.
• Work with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Adapt to changing production priorities while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, and equipment utilization.
This role reports to the production manager.
Qualifications:
• Aluminum extrusion press experience required.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to read and follow production work orders.
• Strong attention to quality and consistency.
• Ability to identify production issues and troubleshoot efficiently.
• Maintains clean and organized work areas.
• Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when production requires.
