Outpatient Clinical Nurse / RCC West Houston

The Outpatient Clinical Nurse supports patients and families across the continuum of care while collaborating closely with an inter-professional care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

Within the Diagnostic Imaging Dept at UT MD Anderson, the Outpatient Clinical Nurse is accountable for organizing, prioritizing, and implementing patient care activities at the West Houston location. The Outpatient Clinical Nurse functions autonomously within the scope of professional nursing practice, serves as a patient and family advocate, and contributes to a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate for the Outpatient Clinical Nurse role demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective collaboration skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. Position Information
Salary: $68,000 - $142,500
Typical work schedule: Two shifts available: Monday - Friday / 730am - 4 pm or 830am - 5pm / 10-hour shifts
Work location: West Houston (will cover both locations in West Houston)

EDUCATION
  • Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Nursing.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Required: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license. Upon Hire and

  • Preferred: OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification Certification in specialty practice area. Upon Hire
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
