JOB SUMMARY:

Our Ethos team is seeking a full-time General Ledger Accountant (REMOTE ) to join our dynamic Finance team. This role will support the Finance department in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes, while also assisting with internal audits and continuous process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare monthly journal entries (e.g., cash, prepaids, expense allocations).
• Complete monthly account and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain all journal entries and supporting documents for internal and audit use.
• Review and match credit card expenses with appropriate documentation.
• Track and maintain accounts payable profitability metrics.
• Assist with client-specific reporting and billing as needed.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements.
• Help maintain up-to-date procedural documentation.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the VP of Finance/Accounting Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance-related field (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance or accounting with a focus on the general ledger.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and practices.

Skills:

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables
• Advanced computer skills, including Office suite applications (e.g. Excel)
• Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, specifically in reconciliation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills as a team player.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is 100% remote , with required availability during standard business hours (consideration may be given to the candidate's local time zone). Occasional overtime may be requested during peak business periods to meet critical deadlines. This role requires a dedicated workspace with reliable internet. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, operating a computer, and communicating via phone and email.
