Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care delivery. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients in transitioning through healthcare encounters without complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on each patient's condition and the competencies of the employee. The RN job is for RNs in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments with 24/7 staffing. Essential functions of this role include: Clinical Judgment: Conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. Identify and prioritize patient and family needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care. Modify plans to meet clinical outcomes. Clinical Inquiry: Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice systematically. Support evidence-based practice changes through research and experiential learning. Participate in quality/performance improvement initiatives. Caring Practices: Create a compassionate, supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Manage both emotional and physical pain to promote comfort and healing. Advocacy and Moral Agency: Preserve and protect the confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights of patients and families.
