Why This Job

CMC seeks a Quality Supervisor to oversee quality assurance in our scrap metal recycling operations. Responsibilities include maintaining team and customer relationships, aligning quality goals with corporate standards, and supporting high-quality product delivery.

What You'll Do

• Review customer claims and settlements from for accuracy, address issues, and communicate concerns with traders and yard teams.
• Partner with traders and yard personnel to address quality-related inquiries and complaints.
• Stay up to date and ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, certifications, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and update the CMC Recycling Quality Management System (QMS).
• Communicate with customers to maintain up-to-date shipment and delivery specifications.
• Prepare and manage documentation for audits and certifications.

What You'll Need

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complicated concepts effectively.
• Ability to create detailed reports, manuals, and presentations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to calmly and effectively mediate conflicts in highly stressful situations.
• Commitment to safety practices and operational excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Some travel required – initially for training, less than 10% long term

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
