Job Title: Marketing Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid schedule: 1x/week on-site or as needed)
Hours: Part-Time (20-30 hours/week)
Compensation: $24-25/hour, with potential for conversion to a salary of $56,000–$60,000/year
Schedule: Flexible, with standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)
About the Role:
One of our most prestigous clients is in search of a Marketing Specialist to play a vital role in implementing impactful marketing campaigns that support conservation, recreational initiatives, and revenue growth. This hybrid opportunity offers flexibility, allowing you to work both remotely and on-site, collaborating closely with a dedicated team committed to promoting Texas’s natural resources and outdoor heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Management & Execution: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing complex, multicultural marketing campaigns across various platforms—digital, print, and social media—that promote programs and initiatives.
- Project Coordination: Manage multiple projects ensuring timely delivery within budget. Coordinate estimates, timelines, and creative assets with external advertising agencies for revenue-generating programs such as Conservation License Plates, Big Time Texas Hunts, and hunting & fishing licenses.
- Content Creation & Copywriting: Write compelling content for web pages, landing pages, social media, emails, print ads, and grant applications that engage diverse audiences and drive participation.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Collect data, analyze campaign results, generate reports, and present insights to optimize marketing efforts and maximize program impact.
- Internal & External Collaboration: Work closely with interactive/creative services team, fisheries, wildlife, and parks divisions, as well as external partners and vendors, to ensure alignment and cohesive messaging.
- Strategic Support: Assist in developing marketing and business plans, grant applications, and research activities to support agency goals, especially in outreach to diverse communities and recreation programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years professional experience in marketing, advertising account management, or brand management.
- Project Management: Proven ability to coordinate projects, manage timelines, and work efficiently with external agencies.
- Digital Marketing: Experience with online advertising campaigns, tracking, and evaluation is preferred.
- Content Development: Strong writing skills for various channels (social media, web, print, email).
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to work across teams and with external partners.
- Flexibility & Initiative: Ability to work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating initiative and good judgment.
