Assembly Supervisor - 1st Shift

Transform the everyday with us
We are looking for a 1st Shift Assembly Supervisor to join our team! Which must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed! This position will be based at our Grand Prairie, TX site.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Improve safety for all personnel working in and around the production lines by implementing measures to decrease production errors, improve product quality, and boost efficiency.
- Adhere to production schedule by prioritizing tasks, assigning personnel to work areas, supervising progress, making personnel adjustments, resolving line constraints problems, and reporting results through shift production summaries.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the team; set goals, supervise performance, conduct employee review meetings, and schedule formal training.
- Being the key driver of all daily production related processes and the hub of information transfer between the hourly assembly workforce, management, engineering, quality control, purchasing and planning.
- Work closely with purchasing, planning and warehouse teams to ensure materials availability and schedule adherence.
- Maintain working relationships with local union by following the collective bargaining agreement.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of successful experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing or related field in a supervisory role
- Mechanical proficiency with experience using hand tools
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Project management experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
