Learning & Development Manager
The Learning & Development Manager will play a critical role in shaping the performance and development of our team members. This individual will be responsible for creating and managing training programs that support leadership development, sales excellence, technical mastery, as well as safety and compliance standards. This role requires an initiative-taking, engaging trainer who can inspire others, tailor learning for diverse roles, and reinforce Southern Botanical’s culture of continuous innovation and improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Development
• Develop and ensure effective delivery of training curriculum for new and emerging leaders on essential management tools and techniques.
• Champion onboarding for all management and client-facing roles, while advising on ongoing professional development opportunities. Sales Excellence
• Equip all client-facing roles with skills to effectively communicate, build relationships, grow accounts, and ensure a high client retention rate.
• Develop and provide training on Southern Botanical specific sales systems, processes, and platforms for a best-in-industry client experience. Technical Mastery
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure timely, accurate training for operations teams on best practices in irrigation, agronomy, and horticulture.
• Deliver trainings that maximize the value, efficiency, and sustainability of maintenance and enhancement services. Safety & Compliance
• Ensure consistent delivery of safety trainings and workforce training topics to confirm compliance. Program Management and Content Development
• Conduct training needs assessments across teams to identify skill gaps.
• Manage master training calendar and quality control of new and existing programs.
• Create engaging, multi-format materials for classroom, on-site, and digital delivery.
• Establish and track learning objectives, participation, and outcomes. Qualifications:
• 5+ years of training experience in a corporate, technical, or field service setting; landscaping industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering effective leadership and sales training.
• Strong knowledge of landscape operations including irrigation systems, agronomy, and enhancement services preferred.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, digital learning tools and an appetite for learning AI tools.
