Project Manager
Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate is responsible for driving end‑to‑end program execution from design concept through prototyping, while managing schedules, risks, and cross‑functional deliverables.
Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Manager Job Responsibilities include:
Drive end‑to‑end program execution from initial design concept through prototyping, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and milestones are achieved.
Own and manage program schedules, identify risks, and lead mitigation actions across multiple parallel projects.
Lead cross‑functional design and build reviews, aligning engineering, operations, supply partners, and quality teams.
Partner with GSM and Operations on supplier engagement, capacity planning, tooling kickoff, and CapEx tracking.
Monitor key performance metrics such as assembly yield, process stability, schedule variance, and version management.
Oversee change management activities, balancing cost, quality, and design trade‑offs while supporting executive reporting and stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
8–10 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), program management, or product engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Strong hands‑on experience with NPI execution, including tooling, injection molding, DFM, supplier engagement, and CapEx planning.
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, manage complex schedules and risks, and balance quality, cost, and design trade‑offs across iterative product development cycles.
