Retail Analyst (CPG)

DESCRIPTION
This position is #hybrid , working 3 days in the office.
You will be responsible for delivering strategic insights into retail opportunities and emerging industry trends to support key business initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage data tools and sources—including IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, and POS data—to support data-driven decision-making and help clients maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements by developing and documenting enhanced procedures.
- Analyze and interpret data in the context of business objectives, translating insights into actionable operational and application requirements.
- Create and deliver clear, impactful data visualizations , staying current with best practices and emerging trends in data presentation .
- Develop ad hoc reports in response to requests from cross-functional teams and senior leadership, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing systems by assessing current workflows and designing effective modifications .
QUALIFICATIONS
Education;
- Bachelor of Arts Degree
Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or other applicable major, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years equivalent work experience;
- 1 year supervisory/management experience.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and related software applications, including spreadsheets, presentation tools, and database management systems.
- Intermediate -level expertise in Microsoft Excel , with demonstrated ability to create and manage PivotTables, perform lookups, generate graphs, and utilize Power BI .
- Familiarity with syndicated data tools such as ACNielsen Nitro, IRI Xlerate, Spectra, and Acosta's proprietary systems is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong presentation skills , with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
