Role Summary

The Host / Hostess / Reservationist is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for delivering a warm, polished welcome while managing reservations and dining room flow to ensure a seamless fine dining experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with professionalism and hospitality
• Manage reservations, confirmations, and special requests
• Coordinate seating and pacing with the service team
• Maintain and communicate accurate wait times
• Answer phones and handle guest inquiries
• Personalize guest experiences, including celebrations and VIPs
• Keep host stand and entrance clean and organized
• Support overall front-of-house flow and guest experience

Ideal Background

• Experience in a host/hostess or front-of-house role
• Familiarity with reservation systems (Resy, OpenTable, etc.)
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Fine dining or upscale restaurant experience preferred
