Fiber Optic Electrical Assistant (Full-Time)

We are seeking motivated and technically skilled individuals for a Full-Time Fiber Optic Electrical Assistant position. This role supports fiber optic and electrical field operations and is ideal for candidates with prior electrical experience who are interested in expanding into fiber optic and telecommunications work through structured training and certification.
Training & Certification
- Opportunities throughout the state of Texas
- Paid, structured training provided
- Seven (7) weeks of virtual instruction, followed by one (1) week of in-person practical training
- Certification issued after successful completion of the training program
- Training begins at the end of April 2026
- Interviews will be conducted remotely
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fiber optic and electrical technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Support pulling, routing, and securing fiber optic and electrical cabling
- Help with testing, troubleshooting, and basic diagnostics under supervision
- Prepare job sites, tools, and materials for daily operations
- Follow electrical codes, fiber optic standards, and safety procedures
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of one (1) year of fiber optic electrical experience
- Personal computer with reliable internet access for virtual training
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to agree to a background check
- Willingness to agree to a drug test
- Ability to attend and complete all required training sessions
- Willingness to work in outdoor and field-based environments
