Buyer
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Buyer to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing procurement processes within the paper and packaging industry.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within the packaging industry.
- Experience in inside sales in the packaging sector.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Support the procurement process for packaging materials, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes to secure optimal pricing and timing, ensuring all purchased materials comply with company standards and industry specifications.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to negotiate the best pricing and terms.
- Accurately create and process purchase orders while adhering to company policies and budget constraints.
- Coordinate and follow up with suppliers to monitor order status, expedite deliveries, and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting periodic checks, and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure adequate supply.
- Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management, including regular stock counts and reconciliations.
