Order Entry Associate

JOB TITLE: Order Entry
DEPARTMENT: Support Services
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Support Services, the order entry person is responsible for preparing and entering purchase orders accurately from customers (retailers) and or sales representatives into a database as well as providing customer support via telephone and email.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Alpha numeric entry of purchase order information using Oracle database.
- Ensures accuracy of information into order system
- Ensures order information is entered according to procedures and operating standards.
- Occasional follow-up with sales representatives and customers in the field
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Skills and accuracy in data entry
- Minimum typing skills of 50 words per minute with minimal errors
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, etc)
- Ability to learn Oracle database system for order entry.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Effective communication skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- 1 year of data entry experience
DESIRABLES
- Industry experience a plus
- Order processing and data entry in a manufacturing environment
- Oracle
