We have a current opening for a Virtual Construction Detailer in our Sacramento, CA & Dallas, TX offices.

The Virtual Construction Detailer will assist the Royal Electric team

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the project team to determine how projects will be built by assisting with planning and research.
• Ensure details being prepared accurately represent how the foreman intends to build the project.
• Communicate design and constructability issues to project team so that RFI’s can be generated.
• Determine quantity and size of raceways, homerun circuitry and grouping, and a general idea of routing.
• Provide notes, markups, and sketches to the modeling team to be utilized in modeling and sheet creation.
• Collaborate with modelers to ensure that model is constructable, and detailer’s intent is maintained when changes are required to model.
• Creation of 2D layout and fabrication drawings as needed for non-BIM projects.
• Act as a mentor to modeling staff, lending electrical and field experience to the modeling process.

Requirements

• Must have an electrical background (for example: journeyman or foreman)
• Variety of field experience from trenching to trimming out.
• Experience running projects is preferred.
• Commercial background is preferred.
• Must have a passion for planning.
• Must be highly detailed with good organizational skills.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be comfortable with working in an office environment.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
• Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary Range:

• $45.00/hour - $55.00/hour
• This is non-exempt position
