Locums Surgical Specialties Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
A facility in Dallas, TX is seeking a Locums Surgical Specialties Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery and trauma adult patient populations. This role focuses on weekend daytime support within a collaborative inpatient setting.
Schedule
Weekend Coverage Only
Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Practice Setting
Inpatient consultation coverage
Adult general surgery and trauma patient populations
Strong nursing support staff
No First Assist (FA) responsibilities required
Responsibilities
Perform inpatient consults for general surgery and trauma services
Conduct evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-ups
Collaborate with attending surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams
Document encounters accurately and efficiently
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care environment
Requirements
Nurse Practitioner (NP):
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Acute Care Adult Certification (required)
Active Texas license
No First Assist required
Physician Assistant (PA):
Board Certified or eligible under Texas standards to practice
Active Texas license
