We are seeking a highly skilled EPC Substation Estimator to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX . In this role, you'll play a vital part in the planning and execution of medium to high-voltage substation and transmission projects , helping us deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective solutions to our utility and energy clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret electric construction drawings and technical specifications.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) projects in the utility and infrastructure sector.
Evaluate civil, electrical, and structural aspects of substation and transmission line construction.
Develop and manage project estimates from conceptual to final design.
Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to assess scope and pricing accuracy.
Stay informed on industry standards, market trends, and pricing strategies.
Handle multiple project estimates simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and accuracy are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering , Construction Management , or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medium and high-voltage electrical substation and transmission construction , or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and civil construction plans and documentation.
Proven track record in estimating EPC projects or related utility-scale electrical construction.
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on field or estimating experience with:
Electrical and civil substation construction
Transmission and distribution line projects
Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
Solid understanding of utility industry practices and safety standards.
