Safety Specialist
We’re seeking a motivated Safety Coordinator to join a fast-paced logistics/manufacturing team where safety is a top priority.
Salary is $48,000 annually (based on experience).
Schedule: 6am-6pm.
As the Safety Specialist, you’ll partner closely with operations leadership to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment throughout the facility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Investigate workplace incidents and assist with corrective action plans.
- Maintain safety documentation including OSHA logs, KPIs, and OHSMS reports.
- Conduct safety meetings, trainings, and new hire safety orientations.
- Provide forklift safety training and recertifications.
- Track safety trends and communicate findings to management.
- Develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
- Partner with leadership to support ongoing safety programs and compliance efforts.
- Spend the majority of your time actively engaged on the production floor (75% floor / 25% office).
Requirements:
- 2-3 years Safety experience preferred.
- High School Diploma.
- Valid Driver's License.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Problem solving and attention to detail.
