Salary:

1. SAFETY:

A. Separation between pedestrians and construction workers:

  • The safety of pedestrians, building occupants, students, teachers, or parents is always our #1 PRIORITY.
  • Maintain 100% separation between construction workers, construction work and building occupants.
  • Always use proper safety signage & barricades to create 100% separation.

B. Schedule + Time Management:

Working Hours:

  • Assistant and Superintendents should typically report to work before 7:00am or a few minutes early at the beginning of each designated work shift to unlock the site and ensure all workers sign-in at the Job Office before starting work of any kind.
  • The time demands of the job can vary between projects and seasons. Typical workdays should be approximately 10 hours and can increase or decrease with the demand.
  • Work shifts may vary between day or night and the Superintendent should be self-sufficient in managing their time.

Subcontractor / Vendor Management:

  • Assist the Superintendent to ensure that the project schedule is kept by coordinating the start dates with all other trade superintendents.
  • Ensure all vendors and subcontractors are contacted at least 2 weeks prior to their scheduled start date. Communicate with the Superintendent for contact information and schedule information
  • Communication shall be conducted with the upmost professionalism and with a positive attitude at all times. Profanity is not an acceptable form of communication, stay professional.

  • Maintain an updated subcontractor /vendor list from information from both the Project Manager and Superintendent. This shall be accessible through and managed through Procore. This list should have current telephone, physical address, email address, and contact person for each subcontractor or vendor.
  • Assist with the Scheduling/Coordination/Participation of Daily Huddles with all Forman at the beginning of each day to coordinate daily tasks with the team.

C. Weekly Subcontractor Meetings:

1. Assist with the Scheduling/Coordination/Participation of weekly meetings with all trade field Superintendents that are currently on site and that will be on site within the next two weeks.

2. Assist with the responsibility of preparing the following documents to hand out at each meeting.

a. Manage outlook invitations to the appropriate Subcontractors.

b. Meeting Agenda (Procore)

c. Distribute Minutes to team after each meeting. (Procore)

d. 6 Week Look Ahead Scheduled (Out-Build)

e. Weekly Work Plan

f. Update the team on any scope changes, submittals, RFIs or schedule adjustments.

g. Toolbox talks.

D. Schedule Collaboration:

1. Assist with the updating to the Master Milestone

2. Participate in the Pull planning between each milestone

3. 6 Week look ahead: Participate in the creation and updating of a six week look ahead to be presented to the project manager at weekly site meetings and at weekly subcontractors meetings.

4. Weekly Work Plans.

5. Daily Huddles.

3. Quality Control and Other General Responsibilities

A. Permits / Inspections:

1. Permits shall be obtained from the city building permit with the help of the Project Manager and the Owner.

2. Post all Building Permits in a visible location in the site office trailer.

3. Coordinate and schedule all job site inspections including trade inspections, owner inspections, architect inspections, and materials testing/inspections.

B. Plans and Specifications - Procore

1. Assist. Superintendents shall thoroughly study the Plans and Specifications and be familiar with all construction tasks as outlined.

2. As-Built Drawings:

a) Coordinate and maintain a master set of hard copy plans, in good conditions and marked as as-built drawings in the job trailer.

b) As-Built drawings should be updated on a weekly basis to include changes or additions to the original contract drawings including but not limited to:

i. Addendums,

ii. RFIs

iii. ASIs

iv. Approved Change Orders

v. Underground Utilities

3. Addendums. Before the start of any construction task all associated addendums shall be cut and pasted into the as-built drawings

C. Submittals - Procore

1. Assistant and Superintendents should assist the Project Manager with submittal review if required.

2. Review and understanding of the Submittal Log is required for a complete knowledge of the required submittals, submittal status, rejected submittals, and approved submittals.

D. RFIs - Procore

1. RFIs are the responsibility of the project manager to create, submit and log. The Superintendent should be aware of and document all changes that result in RFIs and should: update the as-built drawings, notify all trades of changes.

E. ASIs - Procore

1. Any supplementary information provided by the architect should be included in the as-built drawings and relayed to all field trade Foramen.

F. Changes in Work

1. And changes in contract value or scope should be documented by the Project Manager. The Superintendent is responsible for implanting the scope changes in the field with the appropriate trade.

2. Assistant and/or Superintendents shall not authorize any work to proceed, any T&M work, or sign off on field work orders without the prior approval of the project manager.

4. Site Management & Maintenance

A. Staging Plan: A graphical staging plan should be drafted by superintended with the help of the project manager. This plan should be reviewed with the owner, architect and major subcontractors before mobilization takes place. The staging plan should include the location of the following items:

1. Fencing

2. Temporary Site Office: I shall be the responsibility of the Superintendent to coordinate and schedule the installation, delivery and set up of all temporary site facilities.

a) Selecting a site by a preapproved staging plan.

b) Traffic Control

c) Temporary water

d) Temporary electric

e) Temporary Data

f) Temporary Telephone

3. Job Site Signage

a) Construction Entrances:

i. All entrances to the job staging, job office, and job site shall be posted with the appropriate signage. These signs should be visible from the road and have a minimum dimension of 48 x 48. They shall be made of plywood material no less than thick.

ii. Construction Entrance signs shall include the following information. Construction entrance location (Site Entrance, Office Entrance, Etc.), Job Name, Jog site address, the Reeder Logo, Hard Hats Required Beyond this Point, All Personal Must Sign in at the REEDER Construction Office Before Entering the Job Site, Hard Hats Required.

b) Safety Signage:

i. Signs that read Do Not Enter, should be posted on the fencing around the perimeter of the job site. The signs shall be constructed of corrugated plastic and have a minimum of 24 x12.

B. Job Site House Keeping:

1. Keep job sites clean and orderly. No trash, food wrappers, cans, etc. Subs must comply on a daily basis

2. Clean at least 2 times per day, beginning and end of each work shift.

C. Site Deliveries:

1. The superintendent should always be aware of the scheduled material and equipment deliveries. Predestinated areas for all materials should be established prior to acceptance of the delivery. If and lifting equipment or manpower is necessary to receive and offload the deliverable

B. Weather Logs

i. Keep Updated on the server

C. Sign In Sheets

All site employees should be required to sign-in at the job trailer on a daily basis.
