Staff Accountant

Growing Technology Company Seeking a Staff Accountant

InfoDefense, a trusted leader in CMMC and cybersecurity compliance, is seeking a seasoned Accountant to manage all aspects of our company’s financial record-keeping including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax, internal reporting, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, the ability to manage the entire financial cycle, and the experience to produce accurate financial reports independently. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of overseeing both daily transactions and long-term financial planning tasks. This position requires bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least five years of public and/or technology industry accounting experience.

Job Description

This job is primarily remote, but candidates must reside in the Dallas/Fort-Worth area . A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience is also required. The successful candidate will be tech-savvy and capable of managing the company’s financial operations with minimal guidance. This role is pivotal in supporting our growth by ensuring financial accuracy, managing payables and receivables, and producing clean, audit-ready financial reports. All employees are required to submit to a background check prior to commencing work.

Responsibilities

• Working with company management to optimize accounting workflows 


• Sending invoices to customers and managing accounts receivable


• Processing vendor bills and managing accounts payable


• Creating quotes for resale software


• Coordinating with our external accounting firm to close the books monthly


• Preparing financial reporting and analysis


• Entering customer’s information into our accounting software


• Managing payroll


• Submitting sales and use tax reports and remitting taxes collected

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance


• Five years proven of experience in an accounting or similar role


• Expert level understanding of accounting software, including QuickBooks Online and Bill.com


• Exceptional attention to detail


• Ability to master new concepts quickly


• Prior experience with time tracking, expense tracking, and payroll software


• Strong interpersonal skills


• Positive work attitude


• Ability to deal with constantly shifting priorities


• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills


• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  


• Excellent oral and written communication skills
