Position Summary
The Director of Marketing reports to the Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for the execution and management of key marketing programs and systems. This role focuses on ensuring marketing initiatives are implemented effectively, marketing automation functions smoothly, and day-to-day marketing operations are organized, accurate, and scalable.
The Director of Marketing acts as the operational lead for marketing execution, allowing the VP of Marketing to focus on strategy, vision, and high-level leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Execution & Operations
  • Execute marketing initiatives and priorities as directed by the Vice President of Marketing.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of marketing campaigns, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure marketing programs are implemented consistently and on schedule.
Marketing Automation & Systems Ownership
  • Own the daily management of marketing automation platforms and related systems.
  • Build, manage, and maintain automated campaigns, workflows, and email communications.
  • Ensure contact lists, segmentation, lead routing, and data accuracy are maintained.
  • Identify issues within marketing systems and recommend practical improvements to the VP of Marketing.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and processes related to marketing automation.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Track campaign performance and prepare regular reports for review with the VP of Marketing.
  • Monitor key metrics such as engagement, lead flow, and conversion trends.
  • Flag issues, risks, or opportunities related to performance or system functionality.
Cross-Functional Support
  • Coordinate with Sales/Leasing and Operations teams to support lead follow-up and marketing execution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day questions related to marketing campaigns and systems.
  • Help translate marketing data and system outputs into clear, understandable information for internal teams.
Team & Vendor Coordination
  • Support coordination of vendors, agencies, and external partners as directed by the VP of Marketing.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior marketing team members involved in campaign execution.
  • Escalate resource needs, workload concerns, or system limitations to the VP of Marketing.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing execution, marketing automation, or digital marketing.
  • Hands-on experience managing marketing automation and CRM platforms required.
  • Experience in multifamily, senior living, real estate, or service-based industries preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation and CRM tools.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to execute independently while aligning closely with leadership direction.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative working style.
  • Practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
Physical and Work Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and electronically.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
