All candidates need to have authorization experience and have to be local to Houston.
The workers will be required to attend a one-week onsite training at 7007 Bertner Ave before being deployed to work from home. Please confirm with your candidates that they have high-speed internet access in their homes. They must also be able to transport assigned equipment safely from campus to their workspace.
Equipment to be issued:
Full workstation, dual monitors, VX workstation, mouse, keyboard, velocloud, Jabra headset)
As part of the MDA agreement for remote working, a picture of the workspace is required and must be brought with them on their first day.
Description:
Summary Scope:
Impacts patient financial clearance experience across a continuum of care served by one or more designated centers.
Summary Function:
Facilitates access to care and the financial clearance process for MD Anderson Cancer Center patients.
Essential Job Function:
Verifies the eligibility/benefits, pre-authorization requirements, available payment options, financial counselling and other identified financial clearance related duties. Collaborates with Patient Access, payors, third party vendors, patients, and any other identified representatives internal or external to the institution to financially clear patients for care. Escalates financial clearance issues to the supervisor or coordinator for resolution.
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Education Preferred:
Associate's degree in business, healthcare or related field.
Experience Required:
Three years experience in healthcare, insurance, or related field. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.
Experience Preferred:
Five years business experience in healthcare, insurance, or a multi-specialty physician practice.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
