Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant for an opportunity with a leading, high profile organization in the DFW area. This role serves as a key financial partner to operational leadership, driving strategic decision-making, financial planning, and process improvements across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with senior leadership to manage departmental financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cost analysis, capital project evaluations, and scenario modeling

• Oversee daily financial operations such as accruals, account analysis, and funding oversight for contracts and projects

• Provide guidance on complex accounting and financial matters, ensuring alignment with GAAP and organizational standards

• Develop and enhance processes to improve financial efficiency and reporting accuracy

• Lead financial review meetings, presenting insights and actionable recommendations to leadership

• Mentor and support junior finance team members while fostering a strong financial discipline across departments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

• 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial modeling concepts such as NPV and IRR

• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders

• CPA highly preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

• Employment Type: Direct Hire

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours

• Location: On-site

• Salary: $107,000 – $122,000 annually, based on experience
