Design Build Branch Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead our high-end residential design build operations in the Dallas–Fort Worth market. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring financial performance, and delivering exceptional client experience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in construction or landscape design-build, proven leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional projects for discerning clientele.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership• Oversee daily branch operations with a focus on efficiency, scheduling accuracy, and resource optimization.
• Implement best practices to drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Lead, coach, and mentor business developers, project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure alignment with company standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality control standards. Financial Management
• Own branch P&L responsibility, monitoring budgets, margins, and financial performance.
• Develop annual business plans, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Drive profitability through accurate estimating, cost control, and effective change management.
• Review job costing and financial reports regularly to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Client & Business Development
• Lead the team developing projects for high-end residential clients, ensuring world-class service and communication.
• Partner with the sales and design teams to align client expectations with operational capacity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and strategic partners for business development including but not limited to Landscape Architecture Firms, Interior Designers and Custom Home Builders.
• Uphold brand reputation through excellence in project delivery and client satisfaction. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Success in this role will be measured by the ability to:
Deliver best in class client experience.
Ensure projects are on time and within budget.
Daily field time to assess quality and ensure established job workflow.
Drive year-over-year branch revenue growth.
Develop and execute branch strategy for marketing and lead generation.
Manage business development teams’ pipeline, sales strategies and results.
Financial Performance
Achieve or exceed revenue, gross margin and operating income targets on design-build projects.
Ensure all projects are paid within 30 days.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in residential design-build, construction management, or related field.
• Proven success managing branch operations or large-scale projects with financial accountability.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, margins, and P&L.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset.
• Familiarity with project management software, scheduling tools, and CRM platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Business, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred.
