The Senior iOS Engineer role is part of the Trip Planner team, which builds the next generation of travel planning experiences to help travelers discover, share, and organize their dream vacations with ease. We design responsive, cross-platform, and large-scale solutions that integrate with every line of business—air, lodging, car rental, and more. We're also applying cutting-edge AI technologies to personalize and simplify the planning process for millions of travelers. Planning a trip should be exciting—not overwhelming. You’ll be part of a team that blends technology and human touch to solve real traveler problems, helping people explore the world and create lasting memories. Your contributions will support our strategy to make travel more predictive, proactive, and personalized—powered by AI, but grounded in trust and connection.
This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our mobile apps. Your work will directly influence how travelers interact with our platform, ensuring seamless, scalable, and delightful experiences. This is a high-impact role where your technical leadership will help define the future of mobile travel planning—contributing to our ambition to become the global one-stop travel marketplace.
In this role, you will:
Lead development of iOS features and guide architectural decisions
Build holistic solutions that ensure consistent experiences across platforms
Collaborate with UX designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver intuitive and delightful traveler experiences
Champion engineering excellence, usability, and quality
Share knowledge across teams and mentor junior developers
Contribute to an agile team culture of continuous learning and improvement
Explore and recommend emerging technologies to improve performance and scalability
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
8+ years of professional mobile/software development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with a Master's
Advanced proficiency in iOS technologies including Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode
Experience architecting scalable, modular, and maintainable iOS mobile architectures, leveraging common design patterns such as MVVM or VIPER
Skilled in multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimization in SwiftUI
Experienced in leading technical discussions and simplifying complex problems
Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Firebase and Apollo, and openness to expanding into other enabling technologies like GraphQL
Proven track record of building modular, scalable solutions with high transaction volumes
Prior experience mentoring and developing other engineers

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $184,500.00 to $258,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
