Engineering Internship- Orange, TX

This internship opportunity with Arcwood Environmental is a 12-week program where you are immersed in your assigned department gaining real hands-on experience and participating in events with the intern cohort.

Essential Functions and Requirements

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times.
• As an Engineering intern, you may take on responsibility for assignments as a Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, or Maintenance & Reliability Engineer.
• Implement and lead production performance improvement projects, provide support to the engineering department in the various areas (safety/environment, quality, capacity, competitiveness).
• Analyze and improve current processes to improve environmental compliance, occupational/process safety and/or plant capacity.
• Implement and lead maintenance and reliability best practices.
• Coordination of project work, including supervision of contractors, for plant or location improvements in line with the site or location's capital project needs.
• Under the supervision of one or several project leaders, perform basic engineer responsibilities such as drafting, design, project management, plant layouts, research, data collection and documentation.

Education: Candidate must be a full-time enrolled, current Sophomore/Junior/Senior, pursuing a bachelor's degree in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, required. Overall GPA>2.7, with GPA in major >3.0

Other BS/MS majors that may be considered are Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Computer Science.

• Timely, positive and professional work habits required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job. Must be able to complete a minimum of 10 out of 12 weeks.
