As a Frontend Drupal Engineer on our talented team, you will migrate and re-platform a federal website and move it to Drupal CMS on a FedRAMP/FISMA-compliant cloud-based server. The ideal candidate would have experience with gamified sites. lead federal projects that drive meaningful, mission-oriented work contributing to initiatives that make a tangible impact on the public. You are passionate about Drupal and providing an appealing, compliant experience for users.
Location: Remote within the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement technology solutions using PHP, HTML/CSS.
- Design, create, test, and maintain responsive websites using web development tools.
- Create, improve, and use wireframes, prototypes, user flows and design compositions to communicate ideas.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy business needs.
- Collaborate with the backend engineer(s) to coordinate hosting and migration efforts.
- Ensure websites meet all Federal regulations, including 508 and web content accessibility guidelines.
- Write and maintain unit tests for the code you write.
- Review pull requests and refactor code to meet best practices.
- Create and maintain component libraries.
- Document application changes and updates.
- Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Design, test, and integrate system and enterprise software and multi-tier systems architectures.
- Troubleshoot and debug frontend applications.
- Assist in the configuration of web server settings.
- Monitor and implement frontend performance.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in web design and development including mobile and responsive design in most recent versions of Drupal.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operation support.
- Proficient in GIT version control and tools.
- Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology.
- Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
- Strong working knowledge of and hands-on experience with current technologies and web development tools, including JavaScript, CSS/CSS3, HTML5, and PHP.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Vaultes does not currently provide visa sponsorship.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with developing or replatforming gamified applications, JavaScript, and Azure hosting.
- Familiarity with United States Web Design System (USWDS).
