Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our infrastructure team. As an SRE, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , utilizing GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and Kubernetes .

This is a full-time onsite position based in either Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL .

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available systems on GCP using GKE and Kubernetes .
• Develop infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform , Helm , and Ansible .
• Monitor system health and respond to alerts to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and maintain observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus , Grafana , Stackdriver ).
• Manage incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve deployment efficiency.
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support production environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related role.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Expertise in GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python , Bash , Go ).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker.
• Deep understanding of networking, containerization, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack , Grafana , Prometheus , or Datadog .
• Strong knowledge of security best practices and cloud infrastructure security.

Preferred Qualifications:

• GCP certification (e.g., Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer ).
• Experience with multi-region or multi-cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with service meshes (e.g., Istio , Linkerd ).
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup, and failover strategies.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
