ER RN Job Details – Round Rock, TX

• Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Locum Tenens
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens / travel nursing contract
• Location: Round Rock, Texas 78681 (Greater Austin area)
• Facility: Modern Emergency Department with 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460–$1500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS (required)
• Experience with trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac patients preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent teamwork and self-starter attitude

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the emergency department setting
• Perform and assist with emergency procedures: splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens placement, rapid infuser, and resuscitation
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, LVNs, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using MEDITECH EMR
• Comply with facility policies and procedures, including dress code (navy blue scrubs for RNs)
• Promote a positive, supportive healthcare work environment
