ER RN Job Details – Texas Healthcare Opportunity

• Location: Conroe, Texas 77304 (Houston metro area)
• Healthcare Setting: 30-bed Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1680-$1730

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Strong clinical skills, positive attitude, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

ER RN Responsibilities – Clinical Support & Patient Care

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in a busy ER setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in the Emergency Department
• Perform ER procedures including conscious/moderate sedation and line insertions
• Administer IVs, blood products, and monitor bedside equipment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, techs, and support staff
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
• Comply with all unit policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety protocols
