Your impact

We are currently searching for an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team of nearly 150 geotechnical professionals across 15+ offices in North America, supporting a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects. This position is hybrid but located in Houston, TX and will be required to work in the office at least 2 days per week.

You’ll work on projects from concept through construction—across both design-bid-build and design-build delivery models. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll share technical insights across geographic boundaries and contribute to innovative solutions for projects ranging from local builds to global infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Participating in field assignments: soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections
• Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions
• Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more
• Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
• Use of computer programs for geotechnical analyses (e.g., SLIDE, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, GRLWEAP, Mathcad)

Here's what you'll need

• BS in Civil or Geological Engineering
• Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics and geotechnical design principles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 0-2 years of geotechnical engineering experience

Ideally, you'll also have:

• MS or PhD with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering
• Ability and willingness to visit and safely navigate construction and project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

74,700.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

112,970.00

The base salary range for this position is $74,700.00 to $112,970.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
