Medical Billing Supervisor--Beaumont
We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Supervisor with strong leadership skills and a passion for accuracy and efficiency, to join the team of a reputable diagnostic facility.
Job Summary:
The Medical Billing Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the medical billing department to ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims, compliance with payer regulations, and proper revenue cycle processes. This role supervises billing staff, coordinates workflows, and ensures that billing practices align with organizational goals and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of billing specialists, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of medical claims.
- Monitor billing performance metrics and ensure timely submissions to insurance providers.
- Oversee claim denials, rejections, and appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including HIPAA.
- Conduct regular audits of billing processes and patient accounts for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and implement procedures to streamline billing workflows and improve cash flow.
- Train and mentor billing staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing-related issues.
- Stay up to date on changes in healthcare billing regulations and payer policies.
- Prepare reports for upper management on billing department performance and revenue cycle metrics.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of medical billing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHRs).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with payer requirements and insurance guidelines.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to analyze data and prepare accurate reports.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

**Pay raises will be offered based on work performance. Insurance benefits available.
Work hours are Mon-Fri. 8:00 a.m.--5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch. Dress is Business Casual.
