Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Description: Contract position for an RN in the ICU. Duration of 13 weeks. Shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Rotating weekends are required, every other weekend. No on-call requirements. Unit consists of 24 beds. Staff includes 12 RNs plus charge nurse. Patient ratios are typically 1:2 or 1:3, patient dependent. Equipment utilized includes IV pumps and specialty devices. Electronic medical record system is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include line placements and vent management. Drip titration and pre- and post-operative care are also part of the role. Candidates must possess BLS and ACLS certifications. BSN and CCRN are preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat personality and a willingness to learn and grow.
