Production Assembly Team Lead

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Production Assembly Team Lead to oversee and coordinate daily activities on the production floor. This position requires a detail-oriented leader who can guide and support the team, ensure production goals are met, uphold quality standards, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and motivate a team of assembly operators to meet daily production targets efficiently and effectively.

2. Assign tasks and shift responsibilities among team members, ensuring balanced workloads.

3. Train, coach, and mentor team members to build skills, maximize performance, and promote career growth within the team.

4. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and timely completion of tasks.

5. Conduct regular quality checks of the assembled products to ensure adherence to specifications.

6. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, such as equipment malfunctions or workflow bottlenecks.

7. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, team performance, and quality metrics.

8. Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and implement company policies and procedures.

9. Identify and suggest opportunities for improving operations, efficiency, and productivity.

10. Participate in regular meetings with department management and act as a liaison between the team and management, ensuring clear communication of updates, goals, and challenges.

Additional Responsibilities – Senior Team Lead

1. Be capable of all responsibilities of team lead.

2. Participate in high-level meetings when needed, preparing and providing critical information to present a clear picture of operational status.

3. Be an active participant in development of management goals and process improvement plans.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Basic understanding of electronic components and assembly processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions.

Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Willingness to undergo new training and certifications for assigned areas.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining calm under pressure. Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing production setting.

Exposure to moderate noise levels, machinery, and tools

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.

Must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
