Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Alexa MGMT and its portfolio of properties. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, timely month-end close activities, and effective daily accounting operations tailored to a multi-property hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• 
  

  Lead and perform month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet maintenance.



• 
  

  Prepare and analyze financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analysis.



• 
  

  Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows, ensuring precise posting and proper internal controls.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• 
  

  Ensure accounting activities are compliant with laws and company policies.



• 
  

  Support audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.



• 
  

  Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and assist with financial reporting.

Process & System Improvements

• 
  

  Assist in the evaluation and enhancement of accounting systems and workflows.



• 
  

  Support the implementation of standardized procedures across properties.



• 
  

  Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff on processes and systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• 
  

  Partner with operations, payroll, people operations, and property leadership on financial matters.



• 
  

  Assist with cash flow forecasting and budgeting support as needed.



• 
  

  Serve as a key financial resource for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.



• 
  

  3–6 years of general accounting experience; hospitality or multi-entity accounting preferred.



• 
  

  Proficiency in accounting systems, including Quickbooks.



• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.


• 
  

  Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• 
  

  Experience in hotel management or hospitality accounting environments.
