Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced medical environment in an outpatient setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and support for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and collecting medical histories.
- Give immunizations and perform venipunctures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical regulations.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing inquiries.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy to assist in procedures and communicate effectively with both patients and providers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
