Welder Operations Manager
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder Manager to join our team in Baytown, TX, 77520. In this role, you will oversee our welding operations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the welding team.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement training programs for welders to enhance skills and efficiency.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular inspections of welding work to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve workflow.
- Maintain inventory of welding supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for projects.
- Provide performance feedback and conduct evaluations for team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a welder, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
