As an intern with our West Central Environmental Planning and Permitting Team you’ll assist a team of project managers, scientists, planners, architects, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you support office- and field-based activities for infrastructure, energy, water, transportation, federal, and state/local agency projects.

You will contribute towards technical reports and memorandums, field surveys and sampling, participate in meetings, review regulations, supporting siting and routing, complete constraints analysis, support data management, and help develop processes. An average of 50% of time may be spent conducting fieldwork, with some of that being out of town travel. We are seeking interns with an interest in the following disciplines: Natural Resources, Restoration/Nature Positive Solutions, Cultural Resources, GIS and Data Management, Public Engagement, Environmental Compliance, Sustainability, Resiliency, Environmental Impact Assessments, Landscape Architecture, Stream Restoration, and Land Use Planning.

Here's what you'll need

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program for Environmental Science, Anthropology, Archaeology, Biology, Botany, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Public Engagement/Communications, Planning Sustainability, or a closely related field
• Must have completed 2 years of collegiate level coursework before start of internship
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be able to report in-person a minimum of 2 days per week (up to 5 days/week in office, depending on assignment) to one of the listed Jacobs offices in AZ, CO, or TX* Ability and willingness to perform field work in various terrains/weather conditions

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

48,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

57,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $48,000.00 to $57,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
