Mechanic
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of commercial landscaping equipment, including mowers and 2-cycle engine equipment.
- Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
- Develop and manage a full equipment maintenance and management system using Aspire software.
- Track daily equipment check-in and check-out for crews, ensuring accountability and proper usage.
- Generate reports on equipment performance and usage, highlighting trends and identifying crews or crew members who excel or need improvement.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
- Proactively establish and implement new systems, processes, and policies for equipment management.
- Provide occasional support in the field to replace equipment during breakdowns.
- Uphold high safety standards when working on equipment and vehicles.
- Min. 2 years’ experience diagnosing and repairing commercial mowers and 2-cycle engine equipment.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using or willingness to learn equipment management software (e.g., Aspire).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crews and managers.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independently implementing systems and processes.
- Experience in a commercial landscaping environment.
- Knowledge of fleet management practices.

Sunscape Landscaping, headquartered in Austin, TX with a smaller office in San Antonio, is a commercial landscape maintenance provider for HOA master planned communities in Central Texas. We provide regular mowing, edging, weeding, and irrigation services as well as plant health care, mulching, enhancements, and tree trimming. Services are completed weekly from March through October and bi-weekly from November through February. This role isn’t limited to traditional repair tasks; it includes building and managing systems that enhance operational efficiency and equipment accountability.
